NannyPay automatically creates a periodic backup of your data file and stores it in the "Backup" directory located in the NannyPay application folder if you are running Windows XP or in the "\Documents\NannyPay Data" directory in Windows Vista/Windows 7.  If NannyPay determines that it has been seven days or more since it last backed up your data, it will create a new, separate backup.  To keep track of your backups, NannyPay appends a number to your original file name.  Backup number "1" will always be the most recent, backup number "2" will be the next most recent, and so on.  NannyPay will store no more than the five most recent backups.  Since NannyPay data files are typically small in size, these backups will not occupy very much hard disk space.  To restore a file, open the desired backup file using the "Open" command in NannyPay's File menu and then use the "Save As" command to save your file to another location.
