The NannyPay Reminder Utility

Overview


The NannyPay Reminder utility provides an easy way to keep track of important events such as the end of the quarter, tax payment dates, or even your household employee's birthday.  When you start NannyPay, active reminders scroll across the status bar at the bottom of the window.  To stop the scrolling and return the status bar to its normal state, simply click on the status bar with your mouse.   To view the Reminder utility, click on the tool bar clock icon, or choose "Reminders" under the Windows  menu.  NannyPay comes preset with important federal tax and quarterly reminders, but it's easy to customize them.  Click on the topics below for specific information about changing reminder settings.

Checked reminders are active; unchecked reminders are inactive.  To check a reminder, click on the first column of the reminder with your mouse.



The reminder date is the date on which the event or reminder occurs.



The reminder warning is the number of days or weeks in advance when NannyPay will start reminding you.  The warning only applies to active (checked) reminders.



The reminder type is a handy way to classify reminders.  Reminders can be classified as state, federal, personal, or other.



The reminder column contains the reminder or event which is set to remind you.



Click "Add" to create a reminder.



Select the reminder you want to edit by clicking on it, then click "Edit" to make changes.  Double clicking the reminder you want to edit will also invoke the edit screen.



Select the reminder you want to delete by clicking on it.  Then click the "Delete" button to complete the operation.  Because you can't undo deletions, NannyPay will prompt you before deleting the reminder.



Click "Check All" to activate all the reminders.



Click "Check None" to deactivate all the reminders.



Click "OK" to close the reminder window.



By default, NannyPay reminders are sorted by date.  If you want to sort them by warning, type or description, just click on the column heading and the reminders will automatically sort.
