IRS Publication 926 [Household Employer Tax Guide IRS], which is included with NannyPay2, provides a very simple and informative overview of your federal tax obligations as a new household employer. In our experience, most people who take the half hour or so to read this concise publication come away with a complete understanding of the law, and are pleasantly surprised that the “nanny tax” requirements were really not that hard to learn.
